The Western Gully is situated on the Western End of the Desalination Pipeline road, and runs roughly North-South.
In 2023 there was an initial slash along the creekline, and the remnant Ghania plants (about 300 or so) left over from the Butterfly project were planted in this Gully, with numerous rushes. There was little follow-up and only very few of these plants survived. No Ghania survived.
In late 2025, it was decided to use two years of Conservation Dividends , as yet unspent, to start revegetating this area.
