Where is Glenthorne Farm?  O'Halloran Hill, Adelaide.  To see map for Gate Entry click here

Enjoyment Day  - This Saturday, the 1st of September!

NOTE: New times of access – 10.00am to 4.00pm this Saturday – we hope to see you there.

Our next Enjoyment Days for September will be

At this time of the year there is much to enjoy.  Please join us and see why we are so excited about the State’s newest National Park.

We meet at the Majors Road gates just before 10.00am but if you are intending to come along a little later, the gates will be unlocked. Please make sure that you close and bolt the gate once you have entered.

Follow the road until you reach the large pine tree near the Old Barn and head right through, along the dirt track, to where you will see our cars parked. Again, please always close the gates after you pass through them as sheep are grazing.

You are welcome to park on the bitumen carpark, if you prefer (turn right at the large pine tree in the "middle" of the Glenthorne Track, around past the old CSIRO laboratories) and park behind the buildings. You will need to walk back down the track to where we will be working.

Visitors are always welcome and we are happy to show people around our revegetation sites and the heritage structures.

Please call Alan on 0411595910 to advise that you are coming along as we may be off down the water course when you arrive.

We usually have tea or coffee and a discussion of recent events from around 1.00 pm but must vacate the property at 4.00pm, under University of Adelaide rules.
If you are coming along, please respect the property and its wildlife and we hope you enjoy your visit.

Book: Glenthorne , a Defining History & Indefinite Politics

Sales of the newly released book, “Glenthorne, a Defining History & Indefinite Politics” are going very well and members and supporters are encouraged to log onto the Friends of Glenthorne web site here to order their copy.

Or you may like to telephone Pam on 0428 315 266

The first print run was only 500 copies and it has not yet been decided whether a second run will be printed, so to avoid disappointment we recommend that you order your copy now and perhaps a copy for a special friend for Christmas.

At just $40 ($30 plus $10 postage and handling), it makes a great gift and is a great read. It is the most detailed written history of the Glenthorne property and we are very proud of it.

Payment can be by way of cheque (posted in the mail) or electronic or cash deposit into the Friends bank account. Note that order forms must also be forwarded with payment to ensure your copy is accurately posted to you.

Grower workshops are held in October and November and offer all the information you need to successfully grow quality native seedlings. Workshops are free for volunteers who register to grow with us thanks to the support of SA Power Networks.
