Friends of Glenthorne Bush Care Day
Sunday 5th December

Hi everyone,

Just letting you know that this Sunday is the beginning of the final Bush Care month for 2021! If you would like to come along and help out, we will be meeting at the ranger station on Sunday 5/12 at 9.45 am for sign-in. Feel free to come along anytime from 9.45 am – 4 pm, just look for the yellow Friends of Glenthorne vests. We will be spending the day weeding, mulching, spraying and, watering. We’d love to see you there.

We suggest that you bring along:

  • Long pants and sleeves,
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Snacks
  • Drinking water
  • Chair if you are staying for lunch
  • Lunch if staying for lunch

We do operate under current Covid-19 restrictions. If you are staying for lunch, please BYO lunch, chair etc.

The weather on Sunday looks fantastic to get out and help with Adelaide’s brand new National Park. We hope you can join us.

If you would love to come but can’t make it this week, we will also be holding our Bush Care Days throughout December on:

  •     Saturday 11th December from 9.45 am – 4 pm
  •     Sunday 19th December from 9.45 am – 4 pm
  •     Every Wednesday from 9.45 am – 12 pm

Bird Monitoring Workshop

If you are interested in a bird monitoring workshop there is a walk this Sunday 05/12 at 8.30 am at Byards Road Wetlands. Dr Jenni Garden will take you on a 1 hour walk through the wetlands to teach you how to monitor and identify birds.
