Our next Enjoyment Day is this Sunday, 17th July, 2015 from 10.00am until 2.00pm, and all are welcome.
Following recent rains we will have some planting to do as well as the continuing weed control and bird survey.
A good soaking of rain should see a big change in the amount of greenery – weeds and revegetation – and we will be reviewing our plans for the coming months. New members and visitors will be given a tour of the site and all are welcome to stay for tea & coffee following the work part of the morning.
We usually have tea or coffee and a discussion of recent events from around 1.00 pm.
We will be on site from 10.00am to 2.00pm and if you arrive after 10.00am please call Alan on 0411 595 910 for entry instructions.
All information for this amazing event, can be found on our website at http://www.friendsofglenthorne.org.au/friends-of-parks-forum

What an excellent day we had the other Sunday. Nari Reserve at Sheidow Park was decked out with about 1,300 new trees, shrubs, and other natives.
Jerry Smith from Marion Council did an excellent job at organising this event. The day went well, the weather was perfect for planting, and our efforts were blessed with soaking rains for the following days. We were thrilled. We had a number of Nari Reserve locals to help us, and the fodder provided for the volunteers was excellent.
After a short afternoon tea, most of the "First Shifters" continued, and a few for 2nd Shift arrived to help us finish the job.
Take a drive down Nari Lane (Drive) sometime, to see what was done. You will be surprised. And more is yet to come!
