November Enjoyment Day - Sunday (16th)

Meet at the Glenthorne Front Gate at 10am,  We are planning to do the following:

FoG Christmas Event

Each year FoG recieve an invitation to join all the Volunteer Groups Christmas function, hosted by NRMB. The committee decided to join this event as our Christmas Function.

Unfortunately the NRMB will not hold a Christmas function this year, but do plan to host a few functions next year (2015).

The committee are discussing what we can do, and we will let you know before the end of November our decision.  We are thinking of a morning walk and tour of Glenthorne followed by a meal or afternoon tea at a local café or hotel.

If you have an excellent suggestion, then please let us know (reply to this email) before our next committee meeting, on Tuesday 18th November.

Marion Council Elections

Do you need a reminder to vote?  Do you know who you will vote for?   The Council is a major stake-holder in the future of Glenthorne Farm.

For this reason FoG has requested responses from the City of Marion Election Candidates on their views on Glenthorne Farm.

We have collated their responses, see  them on our Website here.

DEWNR Events for 2015

A message from Liz Millington, Manager of Volunteer Support.

DEWNR/NRAMLR are planning 3-4 events (spread across the region) in April/May next year, based on the successful format of previous years’ volunteer ‘Walk and Talk’ events where we visit an interesting location or locations where volunteer have been active and follow that up with a slap up lunch and time to swap stories and experiences.

Please let your group members know and pass this on to any others you think might be interested.

We look forward to celebrating with you all the truly impressive contributions volunteers make to protecting and advocating for the natural environment of our region.

Regards,
martin
