See below for the details on the proposed changes to our constituion. These changes will be voted on at th AGM.
Public Officer - The Public Officer for FoG is Alan Burns as voted on by the committee.
Fee Structure - Moved that the membership fees for FoG will be: $5.00 Student/Pensioners, $10.00 Employed, $20.00 Families, $35.00 Corporate.
Guest Speaker - We have invited Bob Meyers to speak to us this night. Bob has extensive experience with Native Grasses, which are excellent butterfly food, and the focus of our new Native Grass Compound at Glenthorne. Bob will talk about his Native Grass ventures, and other stuff.
Elections - Committee Positions - All positions will be declared vacant, and you have a chance to select the FoG Committee for the next 12 months.
Pizza Oven - We will be using the new Wood fired Pizza Oven, at the Centre for tea. All the food will be supplied, but with assistance as you need it, you will make your own pizzas.
IF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, then please let us know when you RSVP.
This will be a fun event, and a good chance to meet like-minded people, who want to keep Glenthorne as a wonderful public area.
(The Wood Fired Pizza Oven is a safe, family friendly venue, so don't be anxious about whether to bring children or not. It will be safe and fun for all!)
A number of the Friends committee have been trained in the safe operation of the pizza oven and will be on hand to assist. The City of Marion has issued “Pizza Oven Operating Licenses” to a number of the Friends committee.
By the way, if you would like to use the oven for your own funcions, then please contact the Trott Park Neighbourhood Centre to book your place at the next training time. These are usually held on a weekend, and you get to taste the real thing.)
