Welcome to August FoG News!

August Enjoyment Day

Our next Enjoyment Day is Sunday, 16th August 2015 from 10.00am until 2.00pm, and all are welcome.

We will be, amongst other things, planting Lemon Beauty Heads (Calocephalus citreus) into our Native Grasses Compound. About 50 of these plants were kindly donated by renowned local native plant grower and experienced revegetation specialist, Karen Lane. The seed for these plants being collected (with permission) from the Onkaparinga Council reserve on Candy Road, O’Halloran Hill.

Perhaps you would like to join us for a walk along the creek line to check on past revegetation efforts and to also survey the bird life. Records of birds collected by the Friends over a number of years, currently number around 90 different species and numbers have been increasing in recent years

We usually have tea or coffee and a discussion of recent events from around 1.00 pm.

We will be on site from 10.00am to 2.00pm and if you arrive after 10.00am please call Alan on 0411595910 for entry instructions.

We look forward to seeing many of our new Friends from the About Time and Community Vision Day events.
